In case any of you were wondering, it takes about three days and two cycles for a dishwasher to stop producing bubbles once it's been filled with washing up liquid.
Had a dream last night. Trying to get over the moors, where we all met, on a bike. Kept getting stuck in the bogs. Just...you know when you think 'why's it so important to stay with the bike'? I mean, once I woke up. But in the dream I had to stay with it, and...ran out of time...yeah, not much fun.
The bloke who hit me is almost certainly going to lose his licence - he was already chocka with points, he said so when he ran around to me, where I was busy lying in a puddle and checking I still had all my limbs.
He did the classic - "I didn't see you, mate, you come out of nowhere!". His face pretty much fell through the floor when I pulled my warrant card out.
A few brave souls tried to do first aid on me, which was kind of them. And, it being a busy road junction, lots of people offered to be a witness for me that he was on his phone just before pulling out.
Anyway, Mrs Holmes seems to have whipped the insurance company into shape, and they've already said the bike's a write-off, so...well, I can start choosing a new one, knowing that I won't be getting the old one back.
So...
Are my current thoughts. Well...one of them is sort of winning, pre-test-ride.
Sherlock, Mycroft, I hope to get both of you to test ride them too.
In the meantime...
My sergeant sent me this picture of the bike he's trying to sell, and will lend me. Not my usual style, but...might be fun?
In other other news, Jo and Lisa have invited us to a Eurovision party - it should be fun! Sherlock is looking forward to it. I think John is...

Hmm...I think I'm betting on the middle one.
I am looking forward to it! Admittedly, more the company and so on than the actual singing...
Well, Sherlock doesn't like the top one. And you're probably primed by having seen how much time the middle one has been on my screen for!
No one looks forward to the singing :) But it should be a laugh.
Mm. And if I hadn't been paying attention, you did ask me if I'd seen this one yet...three times... ;)
...it is a good looking bike though.
Could get it in white, not black...but I think Sherlock prefers the black.
He told me I was stupid earlier for saying he should remember to take his air guitar to Jo and Lisa's. Whilst jabbing me with his finger to find out what hurt.
Ha. He'll feel pretty silly if he forgets it...
I like the black too, I think. Well. Maybe both of them.
The white just doesn't look as...substantial. I don't know.
So, if I borrow the Honda, you want to have a ride on it? I fear you'll enjoy it far too much...
I would like a ride, yeah. Why too much...?
I dunno, it's just a different riding style. Good for the open roads, but not so much in the city. You could pretty much sit there all day long and never get tired wrists or stiff knees or a sore arse.
But it'll lack that nippy agility our bikes have. Well...yours has. Mine had.
Want to buy a suit tomorrow? And get me a new helmet?
It does look more comfortable, I admit. I like mine better though.
Sure, if you're feeling better? At least better enough to watch me try things on.
Your bike suits you better.
Although your feet would touch the ground more on this one ;)
I'm probably feeling just about perfect to watch you try on suits, with the sure knowledge I can't get up to anything because taking my own shirt off still hurts...
My feet touch the ground in a perfectly adequate manner, thank you!
Heh. More boring that way, but probably for the best.
Depends on your definition of 'best'. I doubt we'll be arrested or barred from any shops, at least.
Want a nice gentle cuddle on the sofa? Sherlock actually complimented me on the black-and-blue-ness of the back of my shoulder earlier. I'm slightly worried when it goes green I'll look like the hulk...without the muscles.
Sounds very nice, yes. And maybe bed.
Sounds good.
Thought we'd bake something tomorrow, to take to Jo and Lisa, too. I'm sure Sherlock will want to help.
Love you. You're a fantastic man, Doc.
I love you too. I'm a very lucky man.
c'mon then, gorgeous, or we'll fall asleep here on the sofa and wake up covered in degus and Sherlock and bananas and coffee grounds or something. And probably glitter.
It sounds like I'm in the minority vote, but I would go for the Tiger 1050. The middle one is nice too, but the top one is more... to the point? I would love to see it in red, in a futile attempt to increase visibility. Isn't it funny how the bikes always "come out of nowhere"?
I am continually flabbergasted by how sweet you two are to one another. Pls update on suit shopping!
I do like the Tiger, but I think I prefer the Speed. Anyway, going to test ride them all!
A cake has been very successfully baked . Chocolate and peanut butter. Eurovisiontastic.
Now suits...
Cake baking should be the first priority of any day ;-)
Enjoy the suit shopping and the rest of your day :-)
Mmm. Chocolate and peanutbutter... Now I want cake!
