THIS IS SHERLOCK and today we went on a walk and saw swans and DEER and geese and there were lots of floods and snowdrops and I wanted to see a body in the river like Lestrade finds but we didn't and then Lestrade said there were DOLPHINS but we didn't see any.
Here's a picture I did like a tapestry:
John is followed by goats and Mycroft has the dogs and one is brown but it isn't really and I've got a bow and arrow because then I can shoot swans but the picture making thing didn't have swans so I put other birds in pecking a body and there's a boat at the bottom to show it's by the river and Lestrade said it was brilliant. We saw a Red Kite too and they're big and I bet if there was a body they would come down and eat some.
Here are some deer and they're a bit fuzzy because we couldn't get very close because they were scared but they had BIG antlers.
My arm is itchy but John says I mustn't put anything down my cast and not cut it off even though Lestrade did and Lestrade said I've got to take care of it even though I got it free because someone pays for it even if I don't but he still CUT his OFF so there.
John tried to cook something tonight and I don't even know what it was meant to be but it wasn't that because it was bad and even Phobos didn't try to eat it and it made the flat smell funny. but that was good because we got PIZZA instead.
Now Lestrade is home and he hasn't got to go to work again for AGES until I have to go back to school!

The deer were pretty amazing. They looked like ghosts. And that is indeed a wonderful tapestry of our walk.
It is. Makes me wish I'd been there with you.
Where there really any goats? Camels?
No camels, I'm afraid, nor did any goats try to eat my trousers...
You sound like you've had a lovely day Sherlock, I hope you manage to get lots of sleep tonight so you have lots of energy for all the fun that comes with having John, Lestrade and Mycroft with you for a few days :-)
I think the only things with any energy left today are me and the dogs. And even the dogs are spread across the floor like great panting rugs.
John looks like he's about to fall asleep, Sherlock went to bed with almost no complaint, and Mycroft's in his room (although probably studying.)
That has to count as a job well done by John then :-D
Do you have excess energy or will a house full of sleepy people have you feeling sleepy yourself soon?
Mycroft, if you are studying, I am really impressed by your ability to have fun and still do the work you need to :-) (I'm impressed by you even if you're asleep)
John has done a fantastic job. And I'm sure I'll be sleepy enough soon.
Sherlock wants us to go on an adventure tomorrow. And I'm hoping maybe Thursday I can manage to entice John out on our postponed-Valentine date. Although Sherlock may fight him for me...
An adventure sounds good, I like adventures ;-)
Good luck getting your date with John but you do need to fit in your date with Sherlock at some point, he had such plans for you :-)
Date would be good, I'm sure we can manage it. I always associate Thursday with Valentine's Day anyway. No idea why. Does it fall on a Thursday more commonly? Probably not.
everyone hold onto something sturdy!
Very amusing, Lestrade.
John, statistically, a set date in a year is no more or less likely to land on any one day of the week. It follows a set pattern, clearly. Over time, there is a one in seven chance of Valentine's Day being a Thursday.
I believe Sherlock has tired your brain out. Or possibly removed some of it for an ineffective and gory experiment with little scientific value.
And logically I do know that...yet my mind still makes the association. Must be some reason.
Maybe by some quirk of fate you've celebrated it more often on a Thursday?
Going on a date with you generally makes me forget my own name, let alone what day of the week it is ;)
Mm, could be. Anyway, statistics aside, Thursday would be lovely. Do you know where you want to go?
I want to be all organised and mysterious and say I've got it all planned out but it's a surprise.
But I'd be lying. No idea where we should go.
Are we getting the evening...or the whole night?
I'll have to talk to Mrs Hudson first. But assuming we could do the whole night, I might have an idea.
I'm all yours.
I won't be recreating it in tapestry form though.
Maybe draw the best bits with one of these:
http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2013/02/the-worlds-first-3d-printing-pen-that-lets-you-draw-sculptures-in-real-time/
I looked at that tapestry site. You probably could recreate it in tapestry form with enough patience.
...That pen is amazing. And hypnotising.
That's a great picture, Sherlock. It reminded me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtGoBZ4D4_E
I especially like the goats trying to eat John's ankles and the cake.
And L, I want one of those pens too. Good night all, it sounds like you need the rest!

I know (hope!) you won't see this 'til morning...but WOW, Sherlock, great job on the tapestry picture! I went and found the site, and it's fascinating to play with. (And I agree, rsf--I really like the cake and the goats, too. :))
I've seen deer in the Catskills--they were all brown, not white--but we couldn't ever get close either without them running away.
Hope everyone is enjoying a good night sleep!
We're going out on an ADVENTURE all day and I'm making breakfast RIGHT NOW so we can leave sooner
Have a great time Sherlock and well done you for making breakfast. Are you making something special or just something quick so you can get going on your adventure?
What are you making for breakfast?
rsf
Ooh, an ADVENTURE? Sounds brilliant. I hope you have a great day :-)
To all of you about to head out on an ADVENTURE I hope you have a great day with lots of good excitements.
To the rest of you who have to go to work, I should probably hope that the excitements are kept to a minimum.
Hope you have an amazing and fun adventure.
have fun on your adventure, Sherlock! And don't forget, there's hot chocolate or pizza or cake just around most corners :-))
Quiet means a great adventure I hope :-)
We are having a lovely day, yeah.
Brilliant :-)
This is what days off should be like :)
We went to Avebury, and it was just, yeah, lovely.
:)
And how do real henges compare to the bouncy kind?
I think we all enjoyed it a lot. Nice to get away from everything.
Getting away from everything is amazing sometimes, and its certainly something you lot deserve to have more chance to do :-)
I had fun! and we got fish and chips for dinner and we had a picnic and the dogs met some sheep.
That sounds wonderful, Sherlock!
(The dogs meeting sheep bit sounds like it could have been a bit chaotic. :))
I met a sheep today Sherlock but the result wasn't really very fun!
Your day sounds wonderful, I'm glad you had fun :-)
Having spent a portion of my youth on a sheep property, I think the only time I want to meet sheep involves mint sauce.
I'm certain the dogs have seen sheep before.
Th sheep probably haven't seen such a small purple-encased child throw themself so willingly into a ditch before though.
Avebury's lovely, isn't it? A perfect place for an adventure day out with a picnic. I'm quite jealous :-)
Should I ask why Sherlock was throwing himself into a ditch?
Because it was there? I don't know. He was generally full of energy, and I think his arm is already hurting less, the way he's been hurling himself about the countryside.
Because it was there
If it was good enough for Hillary... :-)
that bayeux tapestry site is very cool.
Avebury is one of the places I would really like to visit. If the trip to Dartmoor in 2014 with my morris lads comes together, I hope I can work that in.
