Mycroft helped me do this - by which I mean, put a picture on my phone, and then provide evidence of this...I don't even know.
I do know that I immediately fell prey to some autocorrect. I emailed myself this image, to use in this blog, using the subject 'Jmob' - makes sense, right? J on my mobile?
Yeah, so when a photo of my lovely boyfriend arrived in my inbox with the title 'Knob'...well, it wasn't intended!
That's a picture of him from our little holiday this year, looking...well, very very attractive.
We took the dogs out (in the snow), threw a lot of snowballs (they're hilarious when they try to catch them), warmed up with hot chocolate...went out in more snow, then had some lunch, got even more snowy, and went to Anthea's to drop off the dogs (and warm up.)
The boys are plotting something 'secret'...hmmm.
We came home (through even heavier snow), and warmed up by making cheese scones - well, Sherlock made them really.
And now I'm making risotto for dinner, and Sherlock seems to be diving around in the living room involved in some sort of fantasy snowball fight. John is wandering around trying to bring order to the flat and make me wear socks...

We had a great day. I'm off tomorrow, too. Was thinking about going to see Mum, but I won't if the roads are a bit treacherous still. Not worth the risk.
Mmmmm .... scones! It must be a scone kinda weekend. I made a batch of blueberry scones on Friday and a batch of buttermilk currant scones yesterday.
And that photo of John is lovely. Just remember, L., that you can't spend all your time staring at your phone (though that photo makes it tempting, I know) ;)
Sounds like you all had a great day! I'm here dealing with snow squalls, hail, and just about everything Mother Nature can throw at us. I've got to head out on the roads later ... wish me luck!

Lestrade says they use snow wax and it's so they can get a footprint in the snow of someone bad who's done a crime and then before it melts they can spray it with wax and then it's easy to take photographs of and also to pour in something and take a cast of the print like in mud but it means the snow won't melt and I want some.

Some places might, but not in the city. We maybe got three or four inches today, but the main roads are clear. Just got to take care on icy patches. And thanks, I was okay last night, when I finally got to sleep.
Sherlock, did you know that you can use hairspray to do the same thing as the snowwax? It won't be nearly as effective, but if there is nothing else around, hairspray will keep the imprint intact so you can take pictures. Not sure about how well it would keep for the molding, however.

It's been lovely and clear today in London, hope Sherlock is enjoying the last hour or so of daylight.
John and Lestrade were talking about the wedding and said maybe they would have purple things like flowers and I want purple and I want a shirt that matches the flowers and I think it's a good idea and Lestrade said I could ask what you all thought because you all comment on everything but he says it would be subtle not loads but I think it should be loads and the snow is almost gone now except bits you can't get to but I hope it snows again soon.
Purple is my favorite color, so I'm highly in favor! A purple shirt would be nice for you, Sherlock, or maybe a purple tie. (It depends on the shade of purple. If it's very bright, less makes a stronger statement.)
Purple is my favourite colour too, and I think it can be very dignified and sophisticated. My cousin had his barmitzvah in purple a few weeks ago and all the women in the family wore purple dresses and the men wore purple shirts and ties, it was a LOT of fun.
Do you have any wedding ideas, Sherlock? I know you want to hold a ring, but anything else?
Purple is an excellent wedding color. It can be so many things; elegant or festive or dramatic. And there are lots of wonderful flowers!
A nice shirt or tie in purple would be very handsome, I think.

I want to throw flower petals and rice too and tie cans on the back of their bikes and have a cannon and a band and a hot air balloon and a really really really big cake with chocolate.

I think purple is a lovely colour to have as an accent colour at a wedding. I think too much of it would look... too much, though. So maybe ties, rather than shirts? Purple socks too might be fun... even purple pants :-p

I don't believe you've ever managed to 'flash' your underwear when I've been around, John - if, indeed, you ever have at all.
Whereas only a few weeks ago Lestrade was - well, to be honest, I'm not sure what he was attempting to do - but he had his jeans fastened somewhere around his thighs and was dancing around the sitting room with Sherlock. I believe he was pretending to be a teenager.

Although, thinking about it, the last wedding I went to the groom did flash his pants at me. He was inordinately proud of his wedding pants; they were "Life of Brian" themed, with the name "Biggus Dickus" emblazoned on the front, and "Incontinentia Buttocks" written on the back...
