Victim of your own creation

Can't sleep. Have another video. Jazz really isn't my thing, most of the time. But this I like. Nothing fancy about it, just atmospheric music.

Sherlock was, once he woke up, full of talk about the pond.

Mycroft was talking about what he and John had been to see.

John was talking about his mysterious man in the river.

I didn't feel like talking about anything.

Maz - I can never tell him I love him enough, but certain... skills he has definitely make me more vocal ;)

Ah, the freedom of privacy, heh. I will say it was nice se when we sent the boy to grandma's a couple of weeks ago...more, um, spontaneous! :)

Enjoy your rainbow meal, guys, sounds delicious ,even without the octopus, if less tentacle-y.

:S I'm terribly late to the discussion, but in case somebody (and in particular REReader) is still reading this :
Gaiman tends to be quite dark, but his books are definitely not all on the same level on the dark scale. I also tend to think his novels to be rather optimistic and positive in the end.

Basically, if you don't like the darker stuff, I would avoid American Gods, the short stories collections Smoke and Mirrors and Fragile things and the Sandman comics books.

Good Omens, written with Terry Pratchett, is a book I would recommend to anybody with a sense of humour (and no aversion to fantasy), it's fun, it has good characters, and it's about the end of the world.

The other ones that I've read, that have some dark elements or themes but are not overwhelmingly dark, if that make sense, are :
The Graveyard book, mentioned by Mycroft ; Stardust ; Neverwhere and Anansi Boys.
So if you're interested in trying Gaiman's books, one of those or Good Omens would probably be a good option.

Anon that likes Neil Gaiman quite a bit
