Happy Birthday, Freddie

He would have been 65 today.

I can't really tell you what an influence he was on my life. Freddie and Queen as a whole.

This song in particular.

On with the show, Darlings.

So much talent and a big personality to match.

My favourite group.

"I have to find the will to carry on"

My own song "We are the champions my friend. We'll keep on fighting to the end."

I like a lot of their songs. And love Bryan May's playing.

Makes you wonder what they could have done, had Freddie not died.

Still, what a legacy to have left.

Bohemian Rhapsody was the first song I learnt all the words to. I had it on cassette and played it over and over until I knew it by heart.

I take you've seen and had a play with Google today?

Is that supposed to be such a sad song?

It's a very melancholy song, yes.

He was certainly one of a kind.

I stole the 2 cds of them my parents have (had?) and listened to them from 8 til now. It's a big part of my life.
This song made me cry into my breakfast, but the video made me smile.

Mycroft - yeah, it is. Freddie was dying when they wrote this. Did die, very shortly after recording it. They didn't think he'd even manage to sing it for the recording, he was so ill, but he did it all, in one take, straight off. Amazing.

I remember watching the tribute to him, and what a loss for the music world.

They'll always be one of my favorite bands.
