Right. Danger's said he'll try to post every day for a month (hah, dropped you in it now, Doc.) So I thought...well, I could try too.
Except I've no idea what I could possibly write about.
So every day you lot can ask/suggest things as a topic for the next day. If you don't, you'll get a post about police procedure or something.
I reserve my right to remain silent/ignore you/refuse to answer anything I don't want to.
Remember kids read this too...
So, what do you want to know about on Nov 1st?

Well...I'd like to know about your dream travel destination.
If you care to talk about it at some point, I'd be interested to know what impact you think that blogging so openly about your life has had on you.
PS - love the "month of living dangerously" tag :-)
Something you've always wanted to cook but never did because of time/space/effort.
Or: John's most endearing habit.
Or: what springs to mind when you hear "luxurious" or "indulgence"?
Or: on a scale of 1 to 10, how nosy you think we really are!
Why/how you became a cop.
Something you're unexpectedly grateful for.
I'll second innie's request about something you'd like to cook, or even a bit more about things you do like to cook, like pasta 'n stuff, and what you do to make them special.
I said maybe!
And if you get to have people telling you what to write then I do too.
If you want suggestions, John, of course you can have suggestions! (Just remember who you're asking here... ;))
But maybe it would be less confusing for you to get your suggestions on your blog, so when you post your first November blog tomorrow--well, later today--we'll start suggesting there, if that sounds okay? (And it might be interesting for you both to blog about the same thing some days, actually.)
Lestrade, since you have a bunch of suggestions already, I'll hold my ideas for a day or two.
And maybe...just MAYBE, no promises--I might try this regular blogging thing for a month, too. Perhaps. (See what you've started, John?)
In the spirit of Halloween and All Saint's Day and Día de muertos, what about a scary story? Something weird or could-be supernatural that's happened to you? :D Have you ever been inside a haunted house? Have you ever seen a ghost or something that could be a ghost? :3 Or maybe a local tale from your home town? :D Please? *v*
As someone taking Stab 2 at NaNoWriMo after getting only 30,000 of 50,000 words last year, I'm thrilled to see you guys (tentatively) committing to regular blogging!
Lestrade: What was it like working in the bar? (You have to tell us what its name was! Or at least give us a list of possibilities and tell us when we've hit the right one.)
John: What are some of your favorite memories of being Mycroft and Sherlock's nanny that have escaped your other entries?
Happy Halloween! Have a very cool pumpkin video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bALl6dhVRk
Favorite tv show? I've been watching a bunch of British dramas on Netflix and enjoying quite a few them.
Right. I shall have a think about which of these to answer...
If I don't answer your question feel free to ask it again. I'll let you know if it's not something I'm prepared to go into.
I'm surprised Danger didn't ask me something fiendish.
Sounds fair enough. I'm so excited to see what a month of posting brings. :)
Excited....yes.... That's one word for it.
Sally seems to be implying you're all going to ask me outrageously sexual questions. She says I 'ask for it'. Huh.
Can I be ultra lazy, and just leave my original question up there /|\ rather than repost it every day? Or would you prefer to get a bunch of q's to choose from each day?
And I would ask outrageous sexual questions, but you told us to remember that kids read this too :-p But, for the record, I for one would not have a fit of the vapours if you chose to share your most ridiculous/funny/OMG-I-can't-believe-I-did-that sexual encounter with us...
John - are you going to canvas for questions on your blog, or are you happy to take them here? Because I'd be interested in your thoughts about the impact of blogging on your life too :-)
Sally may be right. A month is an awful long time, and you do ask for it...
Sally may he right, but it's hard to ask that sort of question and still keep the comment family friendly. We'd certainly have to exercise our creativity!
See, the problem isn't that we ask absurdly sexual questions. The problem is that we ask perfectly innocent questions and then you inexplicably make them absurdly sexual.
Example:
What sort of "fiendish" thing were you hoping Danger would ask you, exactly?
(Now to choose between leering and looking suspiciously innocent.)
Ooh, good point, Random! It's LESTRADE who will be exercising his creativity. If that's the right word.
I exercise my creativity plenty, don't you worry.
Our point exactly. ;)
(By the way, both of you--I don't want you to do this post-every-day thing if it means posting stops being fun, and I bet I speak for everyone here when I say that...)
I second RR on both points.
